NOWSHERA, July 31: The police seized four bovine animals being smuggled to Kashmir via Mughal Road in a Tata Mobile vehicle in district Rajouri last night.
Reports said Nowshera police party led by SHO, Chaman Gorkha under the supervision of SDPO, Sargun Sukhla during nakka at Thalaka village, intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK04A/ 9357 and found four bovine animals loaded in it. The vehicle was moving towards Rajouri and police had some information about it.
While driver and his associate jumped out of the vehicle and managed to escape taking cover of darkness, the police seized the vehicle along with animals. The police registered a case FIR No. 139/ 2015 and started investigation into the case.
