KARGIL, July 21: After 16 years of Kargil war 1999 operation Vijay, Army organized high level programme involving common public in various sports, cultural and educational activities.
As per routine, there was only two days programme of Kargil Vijay Diwas held on July 25 and 26, but this year Army is organizing six days programme involving common masses.
Drass Valley has been decorated with banners of Vijay Diwas 1999,while horse polo, vijay dood (Vijay run race), drawing competition, cultural programmes, motor cycle race and galaxy of other programmes started today in Drass in different locations, wherein thousand of peoples participated and remembered the martyrs of Kargil war 1999.
Defence Minister will visit Drass war memorial on July 23, 2015.
The programme will continue upto July 26, 2015.
