JAMMU, June 29: The Executive Committee Valmiki Mohalla Trust (ECVMT) today got its new president as Gharu Bhatti who defeated former president Jang Bhadhur by 30 votes.
The ECVMT have total 1260 votes while only 1227 votes were polled. Jang Bhadur got 542 votes while winner Gharu Bhatti managed to get 572 votes. A total of 13 votes were declared as invalid.
Addressing supporters, Bhatti assured that he will continue his work for society.
Those present on the occasion were Baba Kaku Ram, Gulzar Singh, Baba Joginder Pal, Sham Singh, Guru Bir Singh, Jagdish Khokher, Rinku Gill, Kishmiri ,Vijay Pal, Gora, Manga, Ram Singh, Manga Mistrii, Manga Matto, Balraj, Ramesh Lala and others.
