SRINAGAR, June 26: Director General of Police (DGP), K. Rajendra Kumar has asked State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) authorities to mobilize activities with proper equipments so that the teams are readily available to be pressed into service in case of need.
In a communiqué from Police Headquarters (PHQ) here today, Mr. Rajendra has said that anticipated flood threats have added the problems of the people and it is the time to provide help to the needy people. He has also directed all ranks of JKP to extend their support to the civil administration during any situation arising out of incessant rains in the Valley.
The DGP has directed senior officers to monitor the developments round the clock through Police Control Rooms and respond accordingly in close coordination with civil authorities. He said that SDRF teams should be kept available round the clock with proper equipments so that their services are utilized in case of need.
