JAMMU, June 23: A large number of people attended the weekly Public Darbar organized by State Vice President BJP and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) here today.
People mostly shared the problems of power cuts in their areas in the scorching season of Summer, dilapidated conditions of roads in several areas, sanitation problem, traffic problem and other basic problems pertaining of the common masses.
Majority of the problems were solved by the MLA on the spot by issuing instructions to concerned officers.
Sat Sharma (CA) informed the gathering that it is his moral duty to solve the problems of the masses.
He said that as far as power cuts are concerned, the problem has been solved in majority areas of Jammu West with the help of Central Government sponsored scheme R-APDRP (Restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme). He said brand new transformers are going to be installed in several areas and few of them have already been installed in the Constituency and the PDD (Power Development Department) is also managing things properly in order to cope up with the electricity supply to consumers in a way of replacing and installing transformers as soon as can be. He said he will also contribute from his CDF wherever a new transformer is required.
Regarding the renovation of roads he said though problem is serious, the concerned department has assured that the work will be started soon.
He said that Municipal works are also being carried out in many areas of the Constituency and in other areas where works have not been started as yet will also be focused upon.
He stated that the water shortage in those areas which face it from lot of time will also be solved.
