10 bovines rescued, 2 arrested

JAMMU, June 23: Police rescued 10 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers from Domail area, falling under the jurisdiction of Jhajjar Kotli police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Jhajjar Kotli police station laid a naka at Domail and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02BA-8677.
During checking, police rescued 10 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers on the spot.
The accused have been identified as Tofim Nisar, son of Nisar Hussain of Thannamandi, district Rajouri and Noor Alam, son of Mohammad Swaru of Talwara, district Reasi.
A case under FIR Number 65/15 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli police station SI Hilal Azhar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajiv Pandey.
