KATHUA, June 22: District unit of the Bahujan Samaj Party, Kathua today held protest dharna and shouted slogans against the Government.
National general secretary of the party, Narinder Kashyap addressed the gathering and strongly criticized the State Government for not providing adequate reservation quota to the SCs/STs/OBCs and compensation to the farmers whose crop has been damaged. He also alleged that many SC families are being denied BPL quota due to wrong identification.
State president of the party T R Khullar and S R Majotra vice president also addressed the gathering and criticized the government for its wrong policies. They alleged that SCs and OBCs were facing discrimination in the State. They also opposed Land Acquisition Bill of the BJP led Government and move to withdraw subsidy on LPG cylinders.
