JAMMU, June 11: Two youth including a 22-year old girl allegedly attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, Pankaj Kumar (28) son of Dewan Chand, a resident of Reasi (at present New Plot, Jammu), tried to end his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his temporary residence, today. He was immediately taken to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment.
A 22-year old girl identified as Monika Dogra daughter of Rajkumar, a resident of Marh also attempted suicide by consuming 20 tablets of some medicine in one go. She was also shifted to GMCH for treatment.
The condition of both the youth was stated to be stable till the last reports came in. In both cases the concerned police have taken cognizance.
