SRINAGAR, Aug 14: Government today accorded sanction to the grant of Chief Minister’s Gold Medal and Vigilance Medal for honesty/integrity and meritorious public services and for displaying conspicuous courage in exposing corruption or creating awareness against corrupt practices.
The officers, who have been selected for CM’s Gold Medal, are Umang Narula, Chief Electoral Officer, J&K and Farooq Ahmad Peer, Commissioner Secretary, Rural Development Department, Irfan Yaseen, Vice-Chairman, Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA), Rashim Kashyap, Director Resources and Institutional Finance, Finance Department and Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, Chief Engineer, R&B Kashmir.
These officers will be given gold medal, cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, a citation and a certificate each.
The officers and officials, who have been awarded CM’s Vigilance Medal are G S Chib, Special Secretary, General Administration Department, Qazi Syed Mehmood, Inspector, State Vigilance Organization and Abdul Rashid Lone, Head Assistant, GAD (Vigilance).
They will be given medal, cash award of Rs 51,000 and a certificate each.
