BARAMULLA, May 28: National Conference on today lashed out at PDP and Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed for lying on the issue of allocation of land for separate, segregated composite townships for Kashmiri Pandits in light of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s statement where he had said that the State Government had been directed to identify land for this purpose.
During a District Convention of the party, held here today, senior party leaders said PDP’s dual speak on this issue was dangerous and concealed an obvious sell-out to BJP on this very sensitive issue.
Addressing the delegates, senior NC leaders, including general secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, Mohammad Akbar Lone, Mohammad Shafi Uri, provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani, Showkat Ahmed Mir, Javaid Ahmed Dar, Ghulam Hassan Rahi, Mohammad Ashraf Ganai, Shahid Ali Shah, Ghulam Rasool Naaz and Mohammad Yaqoob Wani asked PDP to clarify its position on the issue of allocation of land for composite townships.
Ali Mohammad Sagar said PDP’s sell-out to BJP had compromised on the interests and sentiments of the people of the State and such mischiefs would only bring more strife and instability to a State that has already suffered due to a prolonged political turmoil.
“Mufti Sahab should come clean on Rajnath Singh’s statement on the composite townships. This is yet another instance where PDP’s lies have been exposed after it entered into an unholy nexus with the BJP,” he said.
“Be it the issue of Article 370, West Pakistan Refugees, Power Projects or the battle of ideas with the separatist leaders – PDP has effortlessly surrendered on every key and sensitive issue. Every week there is a new expose or a revelation about PDP’s sell-out to BJP”, Mr Sagar alleged.
