JAMMU, May 16: While creation of artificial lake on Tawi in Jammu had been delayed by the previous NC-Congress Government, the BJP stands for its early completion.
This was stated by BJP State spokesperson Dr Suresh Ajay Magotra while addressing media persons at party headquarters.
Referring to some misconception about the said artificial lake, Magotra said that the BJP has very clearly mentioned in its election manifesto also that we stand for its earlier creation and the party is committed for the same.
He said that some sort of misinformation campaign is launched that the artificial lake is not going to be created in Jammu, which is totally false and baseless.
Magotra added that commitment of the party towards creation of this lake can also be well judged from the fact that even Dy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh yesterday rushed to New Delhi to meet Union Minister for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation and discussed the technicalities to be addressed relating to the lake.
“Union Minister took the matter seriously and assured that the Tawi artificial lake project is dream project of her department also. Our Ministry will address the technicalities for this dream project to come true”, he added.
Magotra further disclosed that a high level delegation from the centre will be visiting Jammu to identify basic issues for the creation of artificial lake in Jammu.
