JAMMU, Apr 23: A deputation of All Jammu and Kashmir Electric Department Linemen and Workers Union (EDLWU) under the chairmanship of Ashiq Hussain, vice president of Jammu province met with the Development Commissioner, Power, today.
The deputation apprised him about the problems confronted by the employees of the Electric Department. The Commissioner listened the problems patiently and said that SRO-59 will be implemented very soon to all the employees who are entitled to treat under then said ruling, besides he also assured to grant the ex-gratia to the victims of the employees who became the victims of the electric shocks, HT current, fall from poles or any other way will be granted the same, subject to the conditions that they occurred during the duty hours.
Those who accompanied were Manga Ram, Tara Chand, Girdari Lal, Vijay Gupta, Surinder Kumar Darshan Lal, Som Nath, Baba Ram, Benay and Jagan Nath.
