JAMMU, Apr 8: As a part of one of its mandate of inter-disciplinary training and capacity building School of Innovation and Community Development (SICD), SMVD University in association with Yakjah, Reconciliation and Development Network, New Delhi and Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, an Institute of National Importance organized a one week innovative workshop on “Conscious leadership an Alchemy of Change” concluded.
Over 50 participants who were drawn from all the three regions of the State of Jammu and Kashmir. The workshop focused on youth leadership. The core of the workshop was to manifest an external change we wish to see in the world, the change that begins within ourselves.
During five days, Ashima highlighted how successful people recognize and learn to tap their hidden powers to create lasting change in their personalities and their lives.
The training also included discussion on diversity and its challenges for homogeneity and the social structure. The workshop had optimal focus on meditational activities. During the workshop Dr S K Wanchoo, Director I/c SICD conducted a session on “Man and Nature” which mainly focused on the structure of earth and various processes associated with earth system and its possible impact on society particularly to our State.
Earlier during the Inaugural session, Prof D Mukhopadhyay, Dean Faulty of Management welcomed the resource persons and participants to the workshop and underscored the importance of the workshop.
Amanpreet Kour, representative from Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development and the sponsor of the workshop shared the vision of her institute with the participants on this occasion.
Ashima Kaul Founder Trustee and Managing Director, Yakjah, was the lead resource person for the workshop, assisted by Amrita Verma, New Delhi and Stanzin Saldon.
