2 held for smuggling bovines

RAMBAN, Apr 5: Dharamkund police today arrested two persons for smuggling bovines to Valley by foot.
As per police sources, police team from Dharamkund police station laid a naka and intercepted two persons carrying bovine animals.
During questioning, the persons failed to give satisfactory reply and were arrested by the police. From their possession, police rescued 10 bovine animals which they were carrying towards Valley by foot to dodge the police.
The accused have been identified as Sher Mohammad, son of Mirwaz of Kotamarg, tehsil Dhomal Hanjipora, district Kulgam and Abdul Latief, son of Abdullah of Sumbhar, district Ramban.
A case under FIR number 3/15 under Section 188 RPC has been registered against the accused at Dharamkund police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Dharamkund police station Inspector Arun Kotwal made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
