JAMMU, Aug 5: Rashtrawadi Shiv Sena (RSS) has criticized the State administration for its failure in completing the pending works in city and expressed grave concern over the dilapidated condition of roads and lanes in its various parts.
Talking to reporters here today RSS president Vipin Hindu, its working president Ashwani Gupta and general secretary Rakesh Kak said it has been observed that Government never takes steps to finish the construction works before the rainy season and the same has been repeated this time. They said the condition of drains is so worst that they get chocked after the rainfall and the mulba taken out from nullahs is lying on the banks and footpaths creating unhygienic conditions in surrounding areas.
They said the main holes at various places in the city are either broken or uncovered causing a threat to human lives which has also led to the accidents of two and three wheelers.
They alleged that the city roads dug by NBCC and ERA have not been reconstructed so far.
The Sena leaders also accused the Government of its failure in providing the basic facilities to the people and its failure in completing the development works in time has made the life unsafe in the city. They also warned that in case the Government failed to settle the problems the RSS will come to streets in protest.
