MENDHAR, Mar 22: The police nabbed one person and recovered one kilogram of poppy straw (Bukki) from his possession from Mendhar area of district Poonch today.
Official sources said that acting on a specific information, a police party led by SHO Mendhar under the supervision of SDPO Surinder Choudhary intercepted the drug peddler and recovered contraband material from his possession. Identified as Dinesh Kumar, son of Milkhi Ram, resident of Pathankote, he was working as mechanic in a local workshop at Mendhar for the past some time. The police registered case FIR No. 23/2015 against him.
