SAMBA, Mar 20: Two persons were injured in a group clash in village Manohar Gopala near Basantar this afternoon.
According to police two persons namely Jagbir Singh and Vijay Singh were injured in a group clash after they tried to lay the slab of the building in the village which was objected by another group. Both of them were shifted to GMC as their condition was critical.
The Samba Police has registered a case under Section 307 RPC and five members of the Gujjar community were arrested for attack. They included three male and two females.
Police said that there was a dispute over some land between the two groups of the people. Jagbir Singh and Vijay Singh were injured after they along with their supporters tried to lay the slab of the building today. This was objected by another group and a clash ensued.
The incident evoked a strong protest in the area and people took to streets demanding stern action against culprits under law.
