JAMMU, Feb 16: Science Club of GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu in collaboration with Department of Science and Technology organized a poster making competition on different themes of “Effect of Junk food on health, Genetically Modified Foods, Mal nutrition”.
On this occasion, Dr Kiran Bakshi, Principal of the College presided over the event and appreciated the creative talent of the participants and also urged them to use healthy food for healthy mind, body and soul. Around 27 students of Food science, Science and Biotechnology participated. Students made beautiful Posters and projected out the harmful impact of unhealthy food habits on the life of the youngsters.
The adjudicators to this event were Dr Satinder Kour, HOD, Zoology, Prof Kamlesh Slathia, HOD, Geography and Prof Mala Bhasin, Botany Department.
Paras Anand of B.Sc-II clinched 1st prize, Sonali of B.Sc-II got 2nd prize and Surjeet Kour of B.Sc Semester-II secured for herself 3rd prize.
Besides this three consolations prizes were given to Aradhana of B.sc-II, Himani Choudhary and Deveani Suri of B.Sc Semester-II respectively.
