SAMBA, Feb 16 : District Information Centre, Samba today organized a symposium on the topic “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” here at National High School Near main Post office Samba.
Sarpanch Varinder Singh Sambyal, was the chief guest at the debate competition in which a number of students of the School took part.
Swati Sambyal was adjudged as best speaker, while Deepak Kumar and Ridhima 2nd and 3rd position respectively, besides Anjali Sharma, Harsh, Arushi, and Shaweta were also given consolation prizes.
Prizes were given to winning students by the Information Department Samba.
It was informed that main aim of organizing this competition is to motivate the students and encourage them to participate in such competitions to face the challenges of the world.
Among others Principal Raman Singh Sambyal, Cultural Asst. DIC- Balbir Singh besides staff of the school and large number of students participated in the function.
