BHADERWAH, Feb 16: The residents of various villages held protest against Power Development Department (PDD).
The residents of Kansar, Dalian, Kholra, Kotli, Linga and Dandi Duggi villages assembled at Laxmi Narayan Chowk here and raised slogans against PDD.
They said that the electric transformer is not working and the matter was taken up with the higher authorities of PDD, but nothing has been done till date.
They disclosed that due to non-availability of power, they are facing lots of problems.
They further stated that PDD has hiked the flat rate of electricity from Rs 108 per month to Rs 360 per month, but the department has failed to provide regular power supply.
The protestors demanded role back of the hiked flat electricity rates and regular power supply.
