JAMMU, Feb 14: Highlighting several issues pertaining to the welfare of scholars and the campus,
Jammu University Research Scholar Executive Association (JURSEA), staged a protest demonstration outside Raj Bhawan, here today.
They were demanding resolution of their long pending demands, such as renovation of dilapidated hostel complex, hygienic atmosphere in the hostels, enhancement of scholarship, establishing separate hostel for girl scholars, one-man one post, better facilities in Central Library, health centre and Wi-Fi connectivity for Research Scholars/students.
The protesting scholars were also addressed by the JURSEA president Sukhdev Singh
Those who took part in the protest, included Jyoti Kumari, Sunny Babber, , Manzoor Ahmed, Gopal Singh, Anju Kumari, Vikram Madhyal, Zulfi Singh, Pawan Sharma, Sajad, Amit Sanotra, Som Raj, Varun, Rishikesh Rana and Mukesh.
