The members from various Sikh bodies  including Sikh Naujawan Sabha, Sikh Welfare Society, Bhai Kanhiya Nishkam Sewa Society, Gurmat Vichar Manch and  AISSF, under  the banner of Sikh United Front J&K assembled at Digiana Ashram and then came on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway and started protest demonstration. Prominent among others included Gajan Singh, Kulwant Singh, Mohinder Singh, Harpal Singh, Paramjit Singh, Inderpal Singh, Kultar Singh and  Harbans Singh.
