RAMBAN, July 29: One person was killed while two others were seriously injured when the car they were traveling in was hit by a bus at Nachlana near Ramsoo.
As per reports, a Maruti car bearing registration number JKO22 3567 on its way from Jammu to Srinagar plunged into Bisleri nallah at Nachlana near Ramsoo, after being hit by an SRTC bus bearing registration number JKO2Y 0504.
After getting information, police along with locals and red cross volunteers rushed to the spot, started rescue operation and shifted the injured namely Latief Ahmed Lone, son of Abdul Salam Loan of Shopian and Mudsar Ahmed, son of Mohd Akbar Bhat of Pulwama to Sub District hospital, Banihal, from where they were further referred to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, Srinagar.
The body of the third occupant namely Sabzar Ahmed Rather, son of Abdul Hamid Rather of Sahil Shopian was trapped into the deep trench of Bisleri nallah and after hectic efforts the body was recovered.
The body was handed over to family members after completion of legal formalities, while, a case under relevant sections has been registered and investigation started.
