JAMMU, July 29: Police today arrested a bootlegger and recovered a large quantity of liquor from his possession in Reasi town.
The accused has been identified as Showkat Ali son of Jamaal Din R/o Dangakot, Reasi.
Police said Showkat Ali was smuggling liquor to adjoining villages to sell it at higher rates. A case has been registered against him at Reasi police station.
Police parties headed by SHO Reasi Jatinder Samyal made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Reasi Raghubir Singh and DySP Jagdev Singh.
