JAMMU, July 29: A delegation of All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) led by its vice president A K Raina called on Administrative Officer Service Selection Board and stressed that the special employment drive launched by Government of India for displaced KP youth be implemented in shortest possible time.
The delegation said that advertisement of remaining posts though a belated step is a positive sign. The delegation however expressed its concern over some draconian conditions attached with the employment package by the State Government and termed it an infringement on the rights of the citizens.
It said nowhere in the country or in state such rules persist for the recruitment process and it was expected that Government will do away with the same conditions this time but much to the discomfiture of the displaced youth these conditions have been still kept.
The delegation also apprised the Administrative Officer of the various problems faced by KP youth in getting forms and completion of other formalities. It said the three branches of J&K Bank will not suffice in providing the forms as there is heavy rush of youth on these branches. The delegation demanded establishment of sufficient counters for collection of the forms.
Aryan Ramesh secretary, AIKS and Rohit Pandita secretary youth were also in the delegation. Later in a meeting of the AIKS leaders with unemployed youth it was pointed out that to complete the formalities for filling up of the forms, making migration certificates and permanent resident certificates will be time consuming and hence this process be simplified.
