LEH, July 27: All religions have different practices but the end goal is inner peace and world peace and we all must stay coordinated in harmony.
This was stated by Buddhist spiritual leader Dalai Lama during a function organised by Ladakh Muslim Coordination Committee at Idgah.
Dalai Lama said that we all are same human beings interdependent on each other sharing same emotions and spirit, seeking peace and harmony and to maintain it trust is the key thing.
“Money does not bring happiness but the real happiness comes from inner peace, shedding all negative emotions and having unbiased compassion”, expressed Dalai Lama.
“I’m a simple Buddhist monk and I practice Buddhism but I preach human values unbiased of religion, caste and creed to the entire world”, he added.
Dalai Lama appreciated the Muslims for their habit of not drinking alcohol and urged the Buddhist community to learn from them, besides he praised both the communities for keeping a congenial relation since long and advocates them to continue it in future.
Earlier, Anjuman Moin-ul-Islam Shiekh Saiffudin, president, Ladakh Muslim Coordination Committee presented the welcome address and called Dalai Lama an apostle of peace in the world.
He said that Dalai Lama has always been preaching inter faith, tolerance and compassion. He requested him to keep upon his blessing on them like this in future.
At the end, President Anjuman Imamia Ashraf Ali Barcha presented the vote of thanks.
