BSP condemns damaging of Mayawati’s statue

JAMMU, July 27: Bahajun Samaj Party, J&K unit, today condemned the shameful act of damaging the statue of their national leader and ex-Chief Minister of UP, Ms Mayawati, at Ambedkar park, Lucknow by anti-social elements.
Alleging that this shameful act is performed by some miscreants having close relations with ruling political party of UP, the leaders said that the ruling political party of UP has adopted revengeful behaviour towards ‘Dalits’ residing in the State.
The BSP Unit of the State registered its resentment through protest demonstration in each and every district headquarters of the State.
In Jammu, a large number of BSP supporters gathered at Satwari Chowk and held protest demonstration raising slogans against the ruling party of UP.
Condemning the incident, the BSP leaders said that in an independent country such incidents give air to communal hatred, which leads to disturbance of Law and Order.
Warning the UP Government to control such type of criminal and anti-social activities, which creates hurdles in the progress of the State and the Country, the BSP activists demanded that the guilty be sentenced at least life-imprisonment to deter such type of acts in future.
Maintaining that the UP Government is encouraging or supporting such type of anti-social activities, they demanded immediate dismissal of such Government and imposition of President Rule in the State (UP) for the best interest of the Country.
