RAMBAN, July 27: One person was killed while four others sustained serious injuries, when the Alto car in which they were traveling in plunged into a deep gorge near Kanga falling under the jurisdiction of Dharamkund Police Station.
As per reports, an Alto car bearing registration number JK19 0031, heading towards Udhampur from Sangaldhan, skidded off the road and fell into 200 meter gorge, resulting into on spot death of one person namely Prem Singh, a senior assistant in Medical Department posted at PHC Sangaldhan and grievous injuries to four other occupants.
All the injured were rushed to district hospital, from where all were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for specialized treatment.
The injured were identified as Susheena Devi, wife of Prem Singh, daughters Palvi and Awania and Rakesh Kumar, son of Chunni Lal, all resident of Sangaldhan.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Dharamkund Police Station.
