SOS International extends active support to BR Kundal

JAMMU, Dec 10: SOS International, an organization for PoK Displaced Persons, today formally announced its active support to BR Kundal, MLC, former Chief Secretary and Minister, who is contesting as independent candidate from RS Pura Assembly segment in the ongoing polls.
The announcement  in this regard was made by chairman, SOS International, Rajiv Chuni, while addressing a press conference here today in the presence of BR Kundal, Dr Gurmeet Singh, Dr Padam Dev Raina, PS Bindra and several prominent refugee leaders as well as core committee members of SOS International belonging to RS Pura Assembly Segment.
“The SOS International and entire refugee community are extending their unequivocal and active support to Kundal in view of his ever known services towards the displaced people throughout his career as a public servant as well as a politician”, Chuni said.
Highlighting the services of Kundal, the SOS International chairman said that the former always played a positive role in taking up the isssue of displaced community while working as DC, Divisional Commissioner, Chief Secretary, or as Minister of Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation at appropriate level and forum for redressal of the same.
He also threw light on the role of Kundal in effectively projecting the issues of PoK and Chhamb displaced persons in Wadhwa Committee recommendations as well as the relief package for the community, submitted by the State Government to Centre.
Rajiv Chuni appealed all displaced community members from PoK and Chhamb and now residing in RS Pura Assembly segment to vote and support Kundal by pushing the sewing machine button on EVMs on December 20, 2014.
He also announced that SOS International is also contemplating to extend its support to some other candidates like BR Kundal as a token of gesture towards their services towards the displaced community.
