The new sets of question papers will be got printed by a week for conducting the postponed examinations of Class XI-Term I and Class XII, Term II while fresh date sheet is likely to be issued within two or three days, Chairman BOSE, Dr Nutan K Resutra told the Excelsior.
Pertinent to mention that the BOSE had ordered postponement of all the ongoing examinations of Class XI- Term I and Class XII- Term II, following theft of question papers at Government Higher Secondary School Sunjawan, yesterday. Doors of the school room and almirah, where the question papers had been kept in sealed packets, were found broken.
Police has registered a case in this connection and started investigation but there was no breakthrough so far. There was no watchman in the school, where the theft took place.
“Though it was not ascertained, how many papers have been stolen, no risk can be taken over the secrecy of exams and therefore new sets of question papers are being printed,” Dr Nutan said.
New sets of nine papers of Class XI-Term I and four of Class XII-Term II, are being printed. There are approximately 50 thousand students of Class XI and Class XII appearing in the ongoing exams across Jammu province and printing of new sets of question papers will cost lakhs of rupees.
