JAMMU, Dec 9: Intensifying his election campaign, Congress candidate from Jammu West, Surinder Singh Shingari has said that he prefers service to the people than the politics of exploitation.
Addressing series of public meetings in Jammu West today, Mr Shingari said that Jammu West is like his family and he has never played politics as a tool to divide the people of the constituency. “If we divide people for our own political gains, it will serve no way to the society. Politics of hatred spreads poison and people will never spare to those who play such dirty politics,” Mr Shingari said.
“Development is not something which can be defined apart from brotherhood. In absence of a sense of ground work and brotherhood, there can never be development and peace. I have never attempted to play divisive party politics in my constituency. This is my family and welfare of a family lies in its strong bonds taught by our great Indian culture. No one can serve his people while dividing them at the same time just for party politics,” he said.
During his visit to different localities of Jammu West constituency, he heard the residents of their problems who complained about desertion of the constituency by its MLA. Shingari promised them to take care of their problems. He appealed the voters to give him a chance to serve them more effectively in the formation of a developed constituency free from political deception.
He was accompanied by Joginder Singh, block president, RK Magotra, Kanta Bhan (gen secy), Satya Devi, Anita Sharma, Ricky Dalotra, Krishan Lal, Vijay Sharma, Rajinder Pahalwan, Joginder, Chetan, Kasturi Lal and several Corporators and ward presidents.
