JAMMU, Dec 8: Former Member Parliament and cine star Raj Babbar appealed to the people to vote for Congress candidate Mula Ram, who is an experienced, honest leader and capable to represent the people of Raipur Domana Constituency.
Babbar was speaking in an election meeting at village Barn of Bhalwal Block. He said that Congress has policies and programmes for the welfare of people of all walks of life. It was Congress party which had launched numerous welfare schemes for the upliftment of people of every section of the society and took the Country to new heights of progress and prosperity and added that BJP provides lip service to people which is short lived and wiped away soon, he added.
Babbar appealed to the people to strengthen the Congress party for peace progress and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
Mula Ram while speaking at Barn, Amb, Marjali and Lower Barnai areas, said that BJP makes promises with the people and shows day dreams at the time of election but soon after election, they forget them. He said that in 2008, BJP exploited the people on the name of religion and region and won 11 seats.
“BJP did nothing for the development of Jammu and never raised any issue of public concerned and added that whatever development took place that is due to Congress party because Congress party is committed for the balanced and equitable development of all parts of the State”, he added.
Hari Singh Chib, organising secretary and Chairman Labour Cell PCC said that Raipur-Domana constituency is lagging behind in the field of development.
He appealed to the people to vote in favour of Congress candidate Mula Ram, who is capable to nourish the constituency better.
Among others present were Udheybhan Singh Chib Ex-president NSUI, Shamsher Singh Chib, working president DCC, Tallanter Singh, block president, Raj Dev Singh, Bhabishan Singh, Kuldeep Kumar, etc.
