JAMMU, July 24: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo) organised a week long pre-recruitment training drive at Keri, in which youth hailing from Rajdhani, Saroola, Keri, Panjgrain, Muradpur, Sanari and Naika took part.
The drive was launched to train and guide the eligible, aspiring and volunteer youth of the area for recruitment into the armed forces, for a glorious and honourable career, in the service of the nation.
As part of this initiative, the youth who were screened and short-listed were imparted training on various facets of the selection procedure which is followed for Army Recruitment rallies and Central Armed Police Forces, which included educational and physical fitness tests, as well as the medical aspects.
During the course of training, the youth were also made to undergo a medical examination, which was similar to what is conducted during actual recruitment. Various physical fitness tests, documentation check and a written examination were also conducted.
The drive drew an overwhelming response from the local youth and as many as 25 boys of Rajouri district derived immense benefit from the training drive, which would be of immense guidance to them while undergoing actual recruitment drive tests.
