JMC seals 3 buildings at Gandhi Nagar

JAMMU, Nov 15: Continuing with its drive against the unauthorized construction, violations and encroachments, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today sealed three buildings at Gandhi Nagar area of city outskirts.
The sealed buildings include premises of Madan Lal son of Mulkh Raj at Plot No: 230-A, who had laid down the slab without the permission of JMC, premises of SK Gahi son of Sat Guru Nag at Plot No: 183-A, who has fixed the shutters to convert the premises for commercial purpose and premises of Surinder Mahajan son of Charan Dass Gupta at Plot No: 275-A, who has laid down the slab without the permission of JMC.
The buildings were sealed by a team of enforcement staff led by the Chief Enforcement Officer of JMC under the guidance of Kiran Wattal, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jammu. The drive was conducted with the help of police force from Police Station Gandhi Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu and force from District Police Lines, Jammu.
Beside this, the team also removed the encroachment by removing the reharies from the footpaths and part of road sides which were causing obstruction to the pedestrians and creating hindrance in the free flow of vehicular traffic. During the drive, 2 loaded trucks of articles were seized and impounded in the Municipal Yard.
