LCF holds Bhoomi Poojan for construction of hutments at Panjar

UDHAMPUR , Nov 10: Love Care Foundation (LCF) which has adopted the Panjar village for rehabilitation of landslide and flood victims of Saddal today held Bhoomi Poojan to start construction of temporary hutments for homeless people of the village.
The people of entire village living in the camps presently led by Sarpanch and other officers of State Government deputed by the district administration participated in the Bhoomi poojan.
After the Bhoomi Poojan construction of hutments was started by the team of Love Care and other private agencies which will be completed within two weeks. The purpose of constructing the hutments is to shift the affected people there to save them from the chilly winter , said Raj Nehru, Associate Director HR Concentrix and Sanjay Dadroo head of Love Care.
He said over 50 hutments will be constructed for the hapless people to protect them from winter cold and snow. The team also initiated the construction of toilets in the area to facilitate the hygiene of the camp inmates.
The Deputy Commissioner Udhampur took keen interest and assured full cooperation to the team and provided all logistic support to the initiative.
On the directives of DC local engineers supported the team with design and layout for the construction of hutments.
The Love Care team complimented the District administration for the support. Mr Nehru said that the team is committed to make Panjar a smarter village and next month few computers will be installed in the village with internet connectivity in the Panchayat office.
The other agencies engaged in supplementing the efforts of Foundation included Concetrix, D S Group and Bushan Power & Steel .
