JAMMU, Oct 21: In order to bridge gap between police and public especially for reaching out to youth of the area and for channelizing their energies in constructive purpose rather than inclination towards anti-national/anti-social activities, a Youth Club and a Library was established by District Police Samba under Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Kehli Mandi, Samba.
The Youth Club and Library was inaugurated by Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, Rajesh Kumar in presence of Shakeel Ahmed Beigh, DIG JK Range, Jammu, Anil Magotra SSP Samba and other police officers of district police Samba including Additional SP Samba, DySP HQ Samba, SDPO Vijaypur and all SHOs of the district. In addition to above, a barrack for the jawans and a Conference Hall constructed at District Police Headquarters Samba was also inaugurated by IGP Jammu.
During the inaugural ceremony, IGP Jammu highlighted the purpose of opening the said Youth Club and Library and intimated that youth is the future of the nation and they have to use their energy in positive direction rather to indulge in anti social activities.
Prominent citizen and local youth of the area invited on the occasion said that such initiatives would definitely bridge the gap between police and public and definitely help in strengthening understanding in a long way as well as in mitigating the problems and suffering of people of the area.
