JAMMU, Oct 19: A meeting of the Central Executive Council (CEC) of All Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Officers Welfare Forum (AJKAOWF) was held under the chairmanship of Nasir A Zargar.
In the meeting the CEC deliberated upon the outcome of its recent interactions with the Minister for Agriculture and officers of the State Finance Department at Jammu and Srinagar regarding the progress made in the case of Pay anomaly and grant of Time Bound Promotions (TBP) in favour of Gazetted Agriculture Officers. The Time Bound Promotions (TBP) case has been recommended strongly by the Administrative Department and is under active consideration of the State Finance Department presently.
The CEC lamented the delay in implementation of one-man-one-post formula as instructed by the Agriculture Minister and exhorted the concerned to implement the same in letter and spirit before the imminent imposition of code of conduct. The meeting expressed they hope that the Government will shortly take a final decision regarding the re-orgainsation and restructuring of the department.
The chairman made an appeal to the officers not only to contribute one day salary but to donate liberally to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and to work with much more zeal and zest in providing their usual sincere and selfless services to the public in general and the farming community in particular in this hour of need.
The CEC also met the Director of Agriculture, Jammu, Dr S S Jamwal and discussed in detail all these issues and problems.
