Saugat Biswas Appointed Divisional Commr (Central) In Arunachal Pradesh

JAMMU, Jun 6: The Arunachal Pradesh Government has appointed senior IAS officer Saugat Biswas as Divisional Commissioner (Central) as part of a major administrative reshuffle ordered by the State Government.
Biswas, an AGMUT cadre officer of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir cadre, is presently serving as Commissioner (Transport) and has also been holding the additional charge of Commissioner (Law).
He has now been entrusted with the responsibility of Divisional Commissioner (Central) in addition to his existing assignments.
A 2006-batch IAS officer, Biswas has served in several important positions in Jammu and Kashmir during his career.
He has worked as Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Managing Director of the J&K Medical Supplies Corporation, Transport Commissioner, and Secretary in the Information Technology Department.
Following the creation of the Union Territory of Ladakh, he also served as Divisional Commissioner, Ladakh.
