RAJOURI, June 5: District Congress Committee Rajouri today staged a strong protest demonstration in Dhangri Block of Rajouri against the constant price rise and failure of the BJP Govt at the Centre to contain it.
The protest was led by the District president, Ashok Sharma, accompanied by senior Congress leaders, Mohd Iqbal Shawl, Advocate Junaid Choudhary, Salam Hameed, Capt. Mohinder Singh, Param Sharma, Kissan Congress president Farooq Choudhary, Amit Sayal, Arun Sharma and Nasharat Choudhary.
Workers and leaders from Dhangri Block assembled at Dhangri main market and staged a sit-in near the market where the leaders spoke on the issue. The leaders accused the BJP Govt of the uncontrollable price rise and the difficulties of the common man to cope up with it.
The speakers alleged that the BJP Govt’s wrong policies had had increased the problems of the common man manifold. The speakers levelled allegations of the failure of the Govt which resulted into the paper leaks, no job opportunities for youths, no respite for farmers, labourers, employees, adhoc , daily waged workers and the marginalised sections of the society.
The speakers took up the issue of petrol, diesel price hikes that are getting unstoppable causing more and more burden on the common man. They said that in the wake of the rising costs, it has become impossible for the common middle class man to arrange even one time meals for his family.
