JAMMU, June 3: MLA Jammu North, Sham Lal Sharma, today laid the foundation of the upgradation and construction work of the vital road stretch connecting Patoli Brahmana to Sangrampur.
This crucial connectivity project is being executed under the NABARD scheme at an estimated cost of approximately Rs 2 crores. The comprehensive infrastructure initiative is set to completely overhaul the existing roadway, providing seamless transportation facilities to thousands of local residents and commuters while giving a substantial boost to the overall socio-economic development of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Sham Lal Sharma emphasized that the modernization of this road link is a crucial step forward that will fundamentally change the daily lives of the locals by eliminating long-standing commuting bottlenecks. “Our primary objective is to ensure that no pocket within the Jammu North constituency lags behind in terms of basic amenities, and roads are truly the lifelines of modern development,” Sharma stated. He added that the upgradation of the Patoli Brahmana to Sangrampur stretch will not only offer a smooth, safe, and durable transit facility for the residents but will also stimulate local economic activities and foster the holistic growth of these suburban neighborhoods.
MLA Sham Lal Sharma further reiterated his unwavering commitment to transforming the infrastructure landscape of the region through a planned, transparent, and phased development approach. “We are working diligently on a comprehensive blueprint to strengthen public infrastructure and ensure that every community across Jammu North experiences the benefits of governance,” the MLA added. He emphasized that every single rupee allocated under welfare and developmental schemes like NABARD is being utilized with strict accountability and a sharp focus on high-quality execution, reinforcing that these persistent efforts are aimed at bridging the gap between urban centers and peripheral areas so that holistic progress reaches every doorstep.
The grand inaugural ceremony witnessed enthusiastic community participation alongside key administrative and political figures who gathered to mark the milestone.
Among the prominent dignitaries present on the occasion were BJP District Vice President Suresh Khajuria, Mandal President (Muthi-Paloura) Pankaj Pada, Vijay Sharma, Pawan Sharma, Puran Singh, Uttam Chand, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department Shambhu Nath along with other officials.
