SRINAGAR, June 2: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference chief spokesperson and Zadibal MLA Tanvir Sadiq today chaired a crucial meeting of party office-bearers and grassroots functionaries at Bachi Darwaza, Makhdoom Sahib. The meeting witnessed an extensive review of pressing public issues, developmental priorities, civic grievances, organisational affairs, and the party’s ongoing outreach initiatives.
Addressing the gathering, Tanvir reaffirmed that the National Conference remains steadfastly committed to its people-centric political philosophy, working tirelessly at every level to safeguard public interests and address the aspirations of the masses. He asserted that the Omar government has, within a short span of time, embarked on a transformative governance agenda focused on transparency, accountability, and inclusive development.
He highlighted that the government is vigorously pursuing infrastructure modernization, strengthening public service delivery mechanisms, expanding employment opportunities for youth, revitalizing the health and education sectors and implementing targeted interventions aimed at alleviating the hardships faced by common citizens.
Launching a sharp attack on the opposition, Sadiq said that certain political parties, particularly elements within the BJP, have been rattled by the growing popularity, credibility, and performance of the National Conference government. Unable to counter its achievements, they have resorted to misinformation campaigns, baseless allegations, and politically motivated propaganda. He maintained that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are politically conscious and fully capable of distinguishing facts from orchestrated political theatrics designed to divert attention from substantive public concerns.
He emphasized that every policy decision, developmental initiative, and governance measure undertaken by the present government is guided by the aspirations, sentiments, and welfare of the people, and this people-first approach will continue to remain the cornerstone of governance.
As part of welfare outreach programme, Tanvir presented a three- wheel scooter to an individual from New Colony, Zadibal. He described support for specially-abled persons, orphans, widows, and economically disadvantaged families as a collective social responsibility and a moral imperative.
