DODA, June 2: Five persons on board a car were injured after the vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a gorge near Gandoh Market here today.
The ill fated car of Maruti Suzuki make bearing registration number JK02BX-7086 was on its way from Gowari to Gandoh when the accident took place near Gandoh Market.
The injured were identified as Faheem Ahmed, 19, son of Barkat Ali, resident of Tawaie; Adnan Ahmed, 20, son of Tanvir Ahmed, resident of Tawaie; Faizan Ahmed, 18, son of Mohd Ashraf, resident of Dhadhaar, Gandoh; Suhail Ahmed, 19, son of Khadam Hussain, resident of Dhadhaar, Gandoh and Owais Ahmed, 18, son of Tariq Hussain, resident of Gandoh.
On getting the information about the accidents, locals along with cops and other rescuers started a rescue operation and shifted the injured persons to CHC Gandoh.
After getting the first aid from CHC Gandoh, the injured were shifted to Government Medical College Doda for better treatment.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
