SRINAGAR, May 30: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has initiated preparations for the visit of the 8th Central Pay Commission (CPC), which is scheduled to visit the Union Territory from May 31 to June 5, 2026, to interact with various stakeholders, including Government employees, unions and associations.

According to an official communication, issued by the Finance Department (Codes Division), Civil Secretariat Jammu/Srinagar, the Pay Commission has fixed an interaction and presentation session with the Government of Jammu and Kashmir on June 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Meeting Hall CR-3, Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC), near Centaur Hotel, Srinagar.
The Finance Department has directed a high-level team of senior officers, led by the Chief Secretary, to participate in the interaction with the Commission. The team will include all Additional Chief Secretaries from key departments such as Jal Shakti, Power Development, Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Tourism, Agriculture, Finance and Public Works (R&B).
In addition, all Principal Secretaries representing the Home Department, Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat and Election Department have been asked to attend the meeting.
The official order further states that the Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department, the Commissioner Secretary, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department, and all Heads of Departments (HoDs) of the Finance Department will also be part of the interaction.
