JAMMU, May 30: Two individuals were arrested with over 20 grams of heroin in separate operations in Jammu and Kathua districts today, officials said.
In Jammu, they said a team of Police Station RS Pura apprehended a suspect during routine patrolling and recovered approximately 4.60 grams of heroin from his possession.
He was accordingly booked in case FIR number 106/2026 under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act at Police Station RS Pura.
Meanwhile, in a separate operation in Kathua district, a team of Police Station Lakhanpur, acting on specific information, laid a naka near the Golden Gate area and intercepted a suspected drug peddler.
During the search, the police recovered approximately 15.59 grams of heroin-like substance from his possession.
Accordingly, the accused was arrested and booked in case FIR number 55/2026 under the relevant sections of the law at Police Station Lakhanpur.
Further investigation in both the cases has been set into the motion.
