JAMMU, May 28: MLA Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi on Thursday held a public Darbar at the BJP Office, Kachi Chawni, where a large number of people from different areas of the constituency participated and projected their civic and developmental issues.
During the public interaction programme, residents raised several concerns related to sanitation, drinking water supply, electricity, drainage, street lighting and other day-to-day public issues.
People also brought to the notice of the MLA matters related to pension benefits, ration cards, healthcare facilities and pending development works in their respective localities.
Yudhvir Sethi patiently listened to the grievances of the people and assured them that all genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned departments on priority.
He directed officials and party workers present on the occasion to ensure prompt follow-up and timely redressal of public concerns.
Addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi said that public Darbars are an important medium to directly connect with people and understand their problems at the grassroots level. He said the PM Narendra Modi led Central Government remains committed to ensuring transparent governance and speedy development across Jammu and Kashmir.
The MLA emphasized that continuous public interaction helps strengthen coordination between the administration and the people, leading to quicker solutions and better implementation of developmental projects.
He reiterated his commitment towards improving civic amenities and ensuring that welfare schemes reach deserving beneficiaries without delay.
The delegations of people expressed hope that the issues highlighted during the Darbar would be resolved at the earliest.
Senior BJP leaders, local residents and party workers were also present during the public Darbar and assisted in documenting the grievances and coordinating with the concerned authorities for necessary action.
