UDHAMPUR, May 28: In separate incidents, a footwear shop at Adarsh Colony and one automobile vehicle repair workshop near Jakhani Udhampur were gutted in accidental fire, here today.
No loss of life or injuries to anyone has been reported in both the incidents, while the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
A shop namely “18 plus footwear shop” at Adarsh Colony was completely gutted in accidental fire this morning. Even as the locals along with police assisted fire tenders to douse the flames, the shop was completely gutted resulting into loss of property in lakhs of rupees. Police have registered the case and started investigation.
Meanwhile, another fire incident took place at automobile vehicle repair workshop near Jakhani. On getting information, a police team rushed to the spot and fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames.
After hectic efforts, the fire was brought under control but till then the workshop was completely gutted in fire. A has been registered at Udhampur police station and investigation was started.
