JAMMU, May 28: A booklet highlighting the life and teachings of Bawa Kailakh Ji along with the religious, social and public welfare activities being carried out by the Prabandhak Committee at the temple complex was released today during a function held at Kailash Ashram.
The booklet was jointly released by IGP Shakti Pathak, Director of the ACB, and Dr Chandramouli Raina, who attended the event as the chief guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Shakti Pathak termed the activities of the Prabandhak Committee in the fields of religion, social cooperation and public welfare as inspiring and service-oriented. He said such activities help strengthen social harmony and preserve spiritual traditions.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Chandramouli Raina stressed the importance of connecting the younger generation with Sanatan values and traditions. He said children and youth should be encouraged to participate in Satsang programmes and other religious events. He also emphasized the need for proper arrangements, cleanliness and attractive decoration in temples so that the younger generation develops interest and attachment towards religious places and cultural heritage.
Committee president and editor of the booklet, Shakti Dutt Sharma, said the original research work on the life of Bawa Kailakh Ji published in the booklet had been carried out by the founder of the committee, Master Sohan Lal, with assistance from scholars and references from various religious and historical texts.
Among others present during the programme were Swami Divyanand, Pawan Seth, Prabhakar Khajuria, Surinder Sharma, Pawan Gupta, Ankush Sham Sharma, Chetan Wangchu, Councillor Kuldeep Singh, Master Raj Kumar, Subhash Seth and Vijay Gupta.
