JAMMU, Oct 6: A meeting of State Pensioners was held under the chairmanship of Ram Dassji Bhagat wherein they discussed the grievances of the pensioners, today.
The meeting criticized the Government for not releasing the DA at the rate of 10% with effect from January 2014 and 7% from July 2014 and two installment of Sixth Pay Commissions which are due for last year.
Madan Lal Abrol criticized the Government for not taking up the issue for benefiting pensioner of 80 years, 85, 90, and 100 at the rate of 20%, 30%, 40 % , 50 % and 100% years as like of Central employees.
Other who spoke on the occasion were Sudagar Mal Sharma, Puran Chand Mittal, Amar Nath Chowdari, Krishan Sharma and Mahinder Singh.
The association has decided unanimously to hold rally at Bishnah (Kabir Mandir) on October 12, 2014 to decide further course of action.
