The most honest announcement by the Indian Medical Association last Sunday was a step to be very appreciated when it requested all the allpathic doctors not to prescribe antibiotics for simple cough-cold-fever, realizing the fact that the continuous use of these things can cause dangerous side effects.
Moreover due to frequent use of antibiotics, the harmful bacteria and virus develop a resistance to it and thereby makes the simple fever and cold a more complex disease next time neding higher doses of antibiotics.
However, keeping this request of IMA in view the Government must promote the second most preferred system of treatment- classical Homeopathy which has no side effects and is too safe for the children of all age groups. Now the Govt must take a serious note to promote Homeopathy for making a healthy Nation.
