JAMMU, May 19: Residents of Ward number 32 today called on Jammu West MLA Arvind Gupta along with Mandal president Anil Angral and social activist Geeta Sodhi and apprised him about various developmental issues concerning their locality.
During the interaction, the residents projected several civic concerns, particularly regarding the construction and repair of lanes and drains in the area. They informed the MLA that inadequate drainage facilities and damaged lanes were causing inconvenience to the local population and sought immediate intervention for improvement of basic infrastructure.
Giving a patient hearing to the delegation, Arvind Gupta assured the residents that all genuine demands and developmental works related to Ward number 32 would be taken up on priority. He stated that necessary steps would be initiated at the earliest to ensure better civic amenities and improved infrastructure in the area.
The MLA said that strengthening local infrastructure and addressing public grievances remain among his top priorities. He emphasized that proper lanes and drainage systems are essential for maintaining sanitation, public convenience and overall development of residential areas.
Arvind Gupta further stated that he remains committed to the equitable development of every ward in Jammu West constituency and continuous efforts are being made to improve civic facilities for the people. He added that regular interaction with residents helps in understanding ground-level problems and ensures timely resolution of public issues.
He also assured the delegation that the matters raised by them would be taken up with the concerned departments so that the required works are executed without unnecessary delay.
